Iain Woodhouse, of Edinburgh University, likes trees. He specializes in mapping forests using satellites, so he knows a thing or two about global deforestation. And to get it into people’s thick heads what the world would be like without trees, he photoshopped all of the trees out of a few famous paintings, the BBC reports.
