The “Rain Room,” an art exhibit at London’s Barbican, is a torrential downpour that you can walk through without getting wet. As you move through the room, 3D cameras track your progress, and stop the rain only where you are. (Though towels are provided just in case.)

In that video, artist Hannes Koch says the project is “starting to experiment with all the different possibilities that it gives us to control [the] natural environment.” Which makes it sound like Rain Room is a test run for sophisticated weather control technology. That’s probably not true — it’s just an art exhibit. But it’s a really cool one. And one that we really, really hope is recycling its water.
