Power Vote 2008 is hosting a live webcast tonight featuring former Vice President Al Gore. He’ll be talking about his Repower America campaign, the economic and climate crises, and the need for voters to go to the polls on this issue this year. You can RSVP to watch the event over on the Alliance for Climate Protection site.
The event takes place at 8:30 p.m. EDT tonight. It will mark the beginning of of six days of Get Out the (Power) Vote campaigning between now and Election Day.
On another Gore note, yesterday the National Civil Rights Museum honored him with its annual Freedom Award. In his acceptance speech, he likened the campaign for climate action to the Civil Rights Movement, and he said that though we can reverse the course of climate change, political will is currently lacking.
