What with the nation being full of hope and promise and all, we thought we’d get in on the action. So we’re asking you — our dearest readers — to show us your hopes!
Send us a photo (or many photos) documenting your green hopes for 2009. Show us your hopeful, happy face, or some creative alternative. We’ll collect images over the next month, then feature the best ones on our site in the new year.
Not sure what you’d send? Here are a few to get you rolling:

And here’s how to send ’em:
- Email pix@grist.org and attach an image. Include your name if you’d like to be credited. Voila, you’re done!
- If you have a Flickr account (or want to sign up for one), then join our fine Grist Photos group. Once you’ve joined, click “add photos or video” on our group profile. Next, select the desired image from your Flickr photostream and click “add to Group.” Ta da! Just like magic!
- If you’re on Facebook, become a Fan of Grist.org, and upload your photo via the Fan Photo section on our Fan Page.
By submitting a photo, you agree that it may be used on Grist.org, on our social-networking profile pages, and in any publication created by Grist (we’re talkin’ best-selling book here!).
Now get to hoping — we can’t wait to see the results!
