Now that produce farmers are feeling the heat from overseas competition, they want some of the federal subsidy pie.
As long as we continue our absurd subsidy system, this will never end and we will continue to spend tens of billions on ineffective policies that benefit big business, trash the environment, hurt taxpayers, and hurt consumers.
Farmers of America: If you can’t convince people to buy your food based on quality, price, and your social and environmental record, then maybe you should think about a new business model or a new line of business altogether.
