See it's simple the cars go UNDER the bus.

You know when you’re driving and there’s a bus in front of you and it’s annoying as hell, partly because buses are annoying, and mostly because we are impatient assholes? Well, the Chinese are developing a solution for this problem: super tall buses you can drive under.

Yes, it sounds too good to be true, but as we speak, Chinese transportation geniuses in Beijing are in the process of constructing buses that run along a track about 16 feet off the ground, and the cars go underneath them. How great does that sound? Watch this neat and amusingly translated video.

Pretty good stuff, right? I especially enjoyed the elimination of pesky words like “the.” But I’m being petty, because this thing is so cool, and did I mention how much I hate being stuck behind a bus? I know this thing is to solve traffic problems, not to make people less annoyed, but you know they do go hand in hand.

Of course, this is not without its risks. As you can see, the bus and tracks are loaded with sensors to greatly reduce the risk of a car running into one of these things, but you know, it could happen, and that would be gnarly. Then again, people will drive their cars into just about anything. So, great idea, China. Keep ’em coming.
