The Levitation bike is a concept bike designed by an architect named Michael Strain, and I am going to go out on a limb and say that he is probably a pretty smart guy. This bike does a lot. It can power your smartphone. It can act as a wireless hot spot. It has its own generator, and charges batteries as its wheels turn. And yes, of course, it is also a bicycle. And not only a bicycle, mind you, but a bicycle that uses magnetic levitation to hover over the ground (just a tiny bit, to reduce the impact from bumps).
For a second I was reading that as “magic levitation.” Which isn’t too far off, because this bike doesn’t exist yet. (Notice the word “concept.”) But when it does, I definitely want one. I’m more interested in the floating off the ground part of things than the cell-charging thing, but I suppose if my phone’s got a good charge on it I can call more people and say, “Dude, I am riding a floating bike.”
