This is a serious vehicle. It has a bulletproof booth for the pope, with air conditioning powered by rooftop solar panels. Also, there are spotlights to shine the pope in light. This popemobile can go 6 mph on the strength of leg power alone, and up to 38 mph, if needed, using an emergency electric motor.

London’s Environmental Transport Association says it’s going to deliver this beauty to the Vatican later this summer. We’ll be watching to see if Pope Francis decides to take it out for a spin.
